I work with a concept called use quality and the role of the procurer, for the purposes of good design. The design goal is not a product, but a use. Use quality can be used normatively, descriptively and exploratively in different stages of a design process. The role of the procurer is central for good design, through planning, communicating, monitoring and assessing the design and systems purchased.
